~Little Red Wagon

Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted a wagon! I don't think my folks took me serious, because there was never one parked at my house. My friends all had one? I remember my friend "little Annie" had a Big Rusty Red Wagon. We would pile in that thing and bravely barrel down the steep hill in front of her house. Whoa...what an exhilarating rush! That wagon would fly down that hill, faster and faster it would go, the faster it would go the more it would wobble. My heck, it scares me now to think what dare-devils we were... Today was like any other Sunday... Get up at 3:30 am(Yeah, you heard me right) to get those birthday cakes decorated !
Being Mother's Day, I had suspected that my kids would be over to share the early evening with me. So, I decided when I got home from work I had better get a little catnap in.
Feeling refreshed and my batteries recharged, My husband and I sat out beneath the Maple waiting for the kids arrival... One by one they pulled up with Tiffanie pulling in last. Peeking out from the top of her truck I saw beautiful flowers in shades of pink, purple, red and white. Wow, I was excited! I was thinking to myself, good gravy I hope those are for me! I just love flowers!! All the kids quickly huddled around Tiff's truck finally pulling out this Shiny Big Red Wagon Loaded with flowers. All the kids were pulling the wagon right toward me... Happy Mother's Day, Mom!
After all those years of wanting a wagon, it was sure worth the wait.

~Enchanted Summer Nights!

Hi All! I have just listed my Challenge ornament for our E-Bay AHAO group. The theme to our challenge is.. Enchanted Summer Nights! This is "Liberty" This sweet little china doll head was unearthed by my parents many years ago at an old ghost towns dump site from the early 1900's. She was in great need of restoration. I gave her auburn hair to compliment her bright new green eyes.

I thought this sweet China head would look lovely attatched to a carved gourd body. I embellished her stars and stripes torso with carved summer flowers, with an assortment of gems, micro beads and glass glitter!
Liberty is tipping her festive top hat! Her graceful arms and hat were sculpted from paperclay.
You can see some of the enchanted carvings that make up a beautiful tapestry around her torso. Liberty proudly holds a firework, symbolizing our FREEDOM! I am so happy with the way this piece turned out. She has a very elegent, old fashioned enchantment about her! If you would like to view more pic's of this little gal you can click on this post's title.

~Frozen Coffee

It has been COLD here! We even received SNOW??? Not enough to stick to the ground but enough to add a layer of slush to my coffee I momentarily sat down. I guess this will be a good day to work on my piece for an upcoming challenge with the AHAO group. For the month of May The American Holiday Artist Ornament group is having an Enchanted Summer Nights Challenge! This will be fun, I have a few ideas spinning around my head but mostly, I cant wait to see all the fantastic ornaments created by the AHAO artists. They are very talented.
